Study voice with me
I currently offer high quality lessons online over a variety of platforms depending on distance and equipment. Through June 2022, I will be based in the Boston area, which allows for real time connections as far south as Washington DC. From July on I will be splitting my time between Ann Arbor, Michigan and Cleveland, Ohio. This puts basically every major Midwestern city within reach of real time collaboration. Depending on levels of community spread, I will also be available to teach in person.
My typical student is either (1) a collegiate, preprofessional, or professional classical singer working toward articulated goals or (2) an academic or independent voice teacher looking to reset and recharge their singing and/or approach to teaching. I work with some students regularly and others on a drop in basis. I work methodically and collaboratively to help my students organize their thoughts and coordinate their bodies. I train vocal function and artistry simultaneously.
I have an affinity for working with countertenors and coaching all voice types in the expressive interpretation of baroque music. However, I am comfortable working with a wide range of voice types and repertories.
My students tend to be serious enough that they invest in the necessary equipment for high-quality online lessons. This does not have to be particularly expensive; a few critical items go a long way. I am happy to create custom recommendations to purchase whatever technology is necessary, and I will manage whatever technical support you need along the way.
